The ATS HERMES Inverter has been selected by NASA Glenn Research Center for advanced research for battery powered commercial aircraft. The ATS Hermes inverter is capable of powering 500kW motors operating from 1,000VDC Batteries. This will allow NASA scientists to evaluate the next generation of batteries and PM motors required for the success of this program. The ATS inverters will be installed on NEAT in 2021. Deliveries commenced in January of 2020 and are being built to order for advance research programs operating at higher battery voltages..
